Okay, on to Act II. So you've defeated the demon Andarial and reopened trade to the East. Great. Woop de do. So now you've traveled East and are in this new town full of more demons. Argh. This town has been devistated by the invasion of the demons. The Palace is closed off to all visitors because of the influx of undead in it's basement. Everyone's having troubles. So, what do you do, go about to prove youself? First you help this old lady wreak vengence for the death of her son, who died exploring the sewers where there's rumored to be some great evil *thing*. Turns out it was just this mummy thing that summons the undead to life and breaths spouts of venom and poision. No biggy. Then you go about gathering relics from the Horadrum. Here you pick up the Hordarum Cube, the coolest little gadget ever, which allows you to morph items together. It's cool...really it is. Ultimatly you clense the palace, make your way to the arcane sanctuary where you discover the passage to this place where this ancient mage lived who had improsined Baal. You kill this demon creature there and free the Arch Angel Tyreal. Blah blah blah...
Here's a few clips from the vengence quest. The first is the death
of the mob who was the cause of the great evil in the sewers. Too
bad mob deaths in EQ deaths all this cool:
Okay, and here's a picture of when I go to the mother and tell her of
the vengence I've wreaked in her name...I think she's happy about it:
With the expansion, ever class has gained 1 item, which is unique to
it's class only. Paladins got some shields, druids and barbarians
got helms, and assasins got claws. There's a lot of different types
of claw weapons, but they're all claw class. An assasin can use any
type of weapon, but I recomend claws because not only are they the only
type that's going to give you + assasin skills, but there's a few martial
arts and shadow skills which require claw classed weapons. Here's
one claw I picked up during this act. It's fine steel (everquest refrence....basically it's a good weapon, but not really compared to my current weapon) compared to
what Sintil's wielding now, but that prevent monster heal is a damned cool
effect:
Set items are the big thing in Diablo 2. You want uber?
You want high resists with high stats and skills plus good armor class?
You want a full set of something. 1 piece of set armor may not be
great, but as you pick up and wield multiple pieces of that set, the other
pieces gain in stats. Higher ac, resistances, stat bonuses, skill
bonuses. It's pretty cool. This is one of my favorite set pieces.
I currently have 3 pieces to this set:
Okay, so as I said, at the end of Act II, you kill this demon thingy
and free the Arch Angel Tyrael. Here he is:
So I'm all excited. I freed him. W00T. Maybe he'll
give me some uber new thing..or more stats..or maybe a new skill ability
to train in. No..no instead he's disapointed in me! Bleh..does
no one respect me:
