THE SECRET COW LEVEL
Well, you're da player! You've defeated all 3 prime
evils, saved the world for now, and even gained a special title (Slayer
for the assasins). Now what are you going to do? I'm going
to the secret cow level! Haha. So it was this big joke with
Diablo I that there was this secret cow level, which of course there wasn't.
But there is one in Diablo II. You can access if after you beat the
game. You just get on the little warp pads, go back to the Rogue
Encampment, put a few items into the cube, and viola. instant Secret Cow
Level portal. Now, here's the thing. It can only be opened
once per difficulty. So once you've opened it, that's it. It'll
be closed next time you play. It's supposed to be full of set and
magic and rare items. I got jack shit. Maybe 1 or 2 magic items
which were worthless to me. Why? Because they screwed up drop
rates on set and unique items in patch 1.08 and they're suppsoed to fix
it in 1.09, but haven't released the patch so far (UPDATE: Okay, so they released the patch and I did see a *slight* increase. However...I got a little burnt out with the game and stoped playing just outside Baal's throne room on Nightmare difficulty and haven't tried the cow level sicne this first time). So anyway..here's
my shots from the Secret Cow Level. It's a hilarious place.

Right off the bat you get assaulted by cows! These cows aren't
particularly strong, but there are lots of them. That's the danger..of
getting surrounded. They can surround you and then you can't move
and they beat you down. It's...no fun.
Cows cows everywhere! They beat down my barbarian and it looks
like I'm next, while my Shadow just looks on from the background!
Here he is. The cow of all cows. The great, cow king.
