So, here's the low down for anyone that doesn't know yet (warning...game plot spoilers inside!!). In Oni you play Konoko, this person, on her own, with no one, out to save herself. Excited yet? Yeah, well hold on and you will be. You're not really on your own. You have Shinatama who's this cyborg type of person at police HQ that talks to you. Well, you have her for a bit, but then she's gone, and you are completly alone. But wait, you have the TCTF (police) whom your work for, and their on your team. Or, rather, they are for a while, until they turn on you, declare you rouge, and try to kill you. So let me start over...
In Oni, you play Konoko, a girl on her own who's running around solving the mystery of her past, kicking ass, taking names, and chewing gum. Only she doesn't really have any gum, and she's not too good with names.
But wait, you get to kick ass in lots of games. True dat my friend, true dat. But how often do you get to literally do it. Get to pull off fun martial arts moves and yell out "DEVIL SPIN KICK!" and "RISING FURY!" in a 3rd person shooter game? How often do you get to throw someone by doing a forward flip while gripping their neck tightly between your thighs. Or grab someone by their arms with their back towards you, rest your foot on their spine, and snap it with one fluid motion? Not often enough I say!

Of course, if robot droids doesn't get your blood pumping, how about a heart stoping mecha brain! That's right ladies and gents, it's a large robotic thing that has a brain and likes to kill and make unresonable demands! The below was threating to blow up the city block unless we gave it what it wanted! FEET!
Well, large mech brains aren't enough to make you enjoy yourself? Hmm...how about beating on civilains!?
